Brief Description of Each Oil Painting
Each oil painting is symbolic and inspired by a specific Scripture passage or story found in the Holy Bible. Every painting was done in worship to God. While worship music played continually, each brushstroke made its debut through prayer and song. It is through this Energy of the Almighty that Sarah believes healing and power is infused in each one of these paintings and can be a blessing of peace and love in someone's home or place of business.
Be Still*
"Be still and know that I am God" -Psalms 46:10
In an ever-changing and ever-evolving world, we can trust God with the falls and flows of life as we move forward like the river, or we can get snagged on a rock. This is the beautiful depiction of choosing to grow and stay fertile... Life is always about choice. Notice how everything that this fresh water stream touches, it revives! May that be said about each and every one of our lives.
*My first oil painting came into fruiting by looking at a still photograph I found; this is my only piece that is not an original picture from my mind.

Stand Firm
"Ten thousand may fall down on my side but I'll still be standing..." -Psalms 91
Notice that only red-splatters outline the painting, representing those who have fallen, but because Romans 8:28 tells us that "everything works to the good..." the red-splatters for the girl standing firm, is the blood and protection of Messiah Yeshua/Christ Jesus. Closer in you can see the invisible force of God allowing nothing harmful to ever touch the girl, His daughter. This is demonstrated by the outline and inside having yellow and white splatters, which represent the victory, glory, and purity of a Holy God.

Set Free
Then you will know the Truth and the Truth will set you free. -John 8:32
Notice it is the blood (red-splatters) of Yeshua/Jesus that brings the healing, lifts the addiction, and breaks the chains of bondage to tradition, lifestyles, and mindsets. His Power is white because, like His power, it has not been adulterated by any other color. His power is pure and fierce, it is jealous and an all consuming fire for His people.

The 5th Day
"The God said, "Let the waters swarm with swarms of living creatures!..."
I love this painting because it depicts the living that exists underneath the surface level of humankind. Only those that are awake and seeking to witness, learn, and explore this unknown life will see it; God is all mighty and all powerful and in His Goodness He knows about it all and created it all. What mystery! What detail! What beauty! Life! Colors! Purpose!

One Flesh
"and the two shall become one flesh, so they are no longer two, but one flesh" -Mark 10:8
Notice how the man's shadow is compose of only the colors of his skin and shirt: dark brown/teel (because it is only his shadow). Notice the wine glass is composed of black/white/deep purple (because it is only the shadow of the wine glass). Notice how the two individuals shadow of holding hands (teel/light pink/brown/gray) is a combo of both of their shadows, and you're intentionally unable to differentiate the two shadows because they are one, but yet they still don't lose our color (their passions, dreams, personality...etc) - even though they have become one flesh. Lastly, notice they are unable to tell how the hands combine- it is as if they are so perfectly and deeply connected that one would never be able to find the seams to even attempt pulling them apart or separating them!

Deliverer
Exodus 2-15
In this Bible story found in Exodus, we meet Moses. He is a Hebrew baby and became the "Deliverer" who led the Israelite nation in exile out of Egypt. This is my only abstract painting that I have completed thus far. The blot of paper that is painted off-white is like linen cloth that perhaps Moses was wrapped in and the twine that is wrapped in a circular shape represents the basket that Moses's mom made from the reeds. The blue Nile river is where Pharaoh's daughter found Moses. The yellow patch in the corner represents the victory of God's people then, now, and forevermore.

Delilah
Based on the true story of Samson and Delilah -Judges 16
In this Biblical story, a young man named Samson had more strength than any man who ever was, and any man whoever will be. The secret source to His strength was in His hair. He was commanded to not cut it. A woman name Delilah become familiar with him and eventually close to his heart. After her repeatedly proving her disloyalty to him, he continued to trust her and eventually set himself up for his own ambush by revealing the secret that she told to other men. The illustration of this painting tells us that even the strongest man in the world could not help but be captivated by her beauty and presence. He is bold with her in her arms because the painting is prophetically pointing out that his hair was "cut" long before she actually cut it. She is a deep red in color representing the emotion she used to masquerade his eyes with (Love/Lust), and he is black because of the complete darkness he was in throughout the duration of their relationship. This painting speaks to the power beauty has to captivate your eyes and prevent you to see things as clearly as they are; "Charm is deceitful and beauty is vein, but a woman who fears the Lord shall be praised" Proverbs 31.

Deborah
Judges 4-5
This painting is called Deborah because this flower boldly stands out in both color and texture. In her story, we ready that she was 1 of the 12 Judges of Israel and also a Prophetess. Those position require both bravery and diligence.. I felt that this painting captured that.

Flourishing in Grace
7 “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
whose trust is the Lord.
8 He is like a tree planted by water,
that sends out its roots by the stream,
and does not fear when heat comes,
for its leaves remain green,
and is not anxious in the year of drought,
for it does not cease to bear fruit.”
-Jeremiah 17:7-8
Those who trust in God will never have to fear when they have a little or a lot or if the world is being shaken around them. They will flourish regardless because they are planted in streams of Living water. So in this painting you can see that the land is barren but trees are abundantly yielding healthy leaves because their roots run deep into a Source that is unseen.
